Hanna Rowell

Hanna Rowell graduated from the University of Georgia with her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and her Bachelor of Arts in Economics, additionally minoring in both African Languages and Literature and Swahili Language, Literature, and Culture. During her time at UGA, she was also a part of Georgia State Representative Spencer Frye’s Legislative Fellowship as a Legislative Fellow and Capitol Aid. Hanna recently completed her Master of Science in Development Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science, fulfilling a degree focus in Applied Development Economics.
At LSE, she gained first-hand experience as a graduate consultant for a nonprofit organization in Rwanda where her team completed a 6-month project on community driven development to address the impacts of climate change. Her academic research has focused on environmental economics and politics, poverty, East African studies, and international development. Hanna is eager to apply her passions for research, community service, and advocacy to conduct important work for disparity research across the United States.
